Yes high wind gusts can push your car around on the highway and roads and can even push the car into an oncoming lane which could lead to a deadly crash.

High winds can easily cause you to lose control of your vehicle especially at highway speeds.

It's best to avoid driving during very high winds and if you do need to drive during high wind speeds it's best to stay off the highway if possible.

I was driving my car one day and during a high wind it pushed me into another lane on the highway but luckily no other vehicles were coming down the other lane during the time and I was able to get out of the lane pretty quick.

That could've easily caused a crash into a semi or another car or truck head on and I could've been injured or even killed as a result.

If the wind is gonna be higher than 25 to 30 miles per hour or we have a high wind warning I call into the office and tell my boss that I'm not coming in that day due to the high winds.

It's just not worth it.

High profile vehicles such as trucks, Vans and SUV vehicles are more prone to being blown over or off the road with the high winds.
