It is possible for the baby food pouches to explode open in your checked luggage in the airplane due to the pressure changes during flight and take off.
But most times the baby food pouches will be just fine and most airlines do allow you to take baby food pouches on the airline through your checked luggage and on your carry on luggage.
Baby food jars are also allowed in the checked luggage in most airlines.
I've been on airplanes with babies eating from baby food pouches and they never were a problem.
