When installing a dishwasher the cabinet part of the dishwasher should be flush with the cabinets.
But the door of the dishwasher will protrude a little bit out from the cabinet and won't be flush with the cabinet.
So if the dishwasher cabinet itself was installed to be flush with the cabinets but the door protrudes out some from the cabinet then the dishwasher was installed correctly.
The door of the dishwasher will protrude out from the cabinet by around an inch.
