I personally don't recommend buying a condo instead of a house.
When you buy a condo you're essentially buying just part of the building and don't have a yard etc.
Plus when you buy a condo you're sharing walls with other people in their condos so you can hear the noises from the neighbors and you usually have to buy into HOA rules and regulations where they control every aspect of your lives.
Yes some communities with houses have HOA's as well but you can find houses and communities without HOA regulations.
Basically with a condo you're kind of just living in an apartment that you buy part of and it's really not worth it.
For the price of a Condo you can typically find a bigger house for the same price and if you're planning to buy anyway you would be best off looking to buy a house with a yard especially if you have kids.
