Medicare does cover up to 100 days of acute nursing home care after a hospital stay as long as the nursing home patient went to the nursing home within 30 days of the hospital stay.
So yes Medicare will cover the cost of 90 days in the nursing home and any longer stay than 100 days or if the nursing home patient needs more medical care other than acute care then other insurance will need to be used to cover the cost of the nursing home stay.
