A good way to take cinnamon is to move a teaspoon of cinnamon with some warm water or add a bit of cinnamon to your tea or coffee.
Avoid taking the cinnamon powder directly because it can choke you but as long as you put in a drink it will be safe to consume.
If you have the Ceylon type of cinnamon then it's safe to take 2 to 3 teaspoons of that type in some tea, coffee or water.
Cinnamon is a healthy spice when consumed in moderation.
