The average permitted size is of an RV in a national forest is 27 feet.

But some national parks have spaces that allow up to a 40 foot long RV to be parked in the national forest.

If you have an RV that is larger than 27 feet then it would be best to make reservations beforehand because national parks have only about 12 larger spaces for larger RV's.
