Yes you can use blackstrap molasses as a good natural laxative.

I find that mixing the blackstrap molasses with a bit of honey makes it taste better and work even better as a laxative.

Just avoid taking blackstrap molasses a laxative too often as it's high in calories which can cause weight gain but for occasional use for constipation blackstrap molasses works great as a natural laxative to relieve constipation and get your bowels moving.

Consuming blackstrap molasses in moderation should not cause much if any weight gain and is healthy for you.

However if you do consume too much of the blackstrap molasses then it could cause weight gain eventually however it is unlikely to cause you to gain much weight fast.

Taking blackstrap molasses in moderation is actually a good way to increase your energy levels and help you lose weight.

It can help keep you feeling full to prevent you from eating more foods which help keeps your calories down.

Consuming blackstrap molasses can also detox your body as it's a good antioxidant.

The recommended dosage of blackstrap molasses is 18 milligrams per day which is around 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses per day.

However taking 2 tablespoons of blackstrap molasses per day is okay as well.

Blackstrap molasses is a nutritious byproduct of sugarcane production.

Unlike refined sugar, it's naturally rich in antioxidants, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamin B6.

As such, it may relieve constipation, help treat anemia, and support bone and hair health.
