There's no time limit to when you have to collect the life insurance from the life insurance company.

But you should put in a claim for the life insurance within a day or two after the persons death so they can be processing the claim and get the life insurance paid out to you or the funeral home as soon as possible.

Life Insurance can be paid out to the beneficiary in one lump sum if needed or the life insurance can be paid out in monthly installments depending on how you want to receive the life insurance money.

Some people prefer it to be paid out in payments while other people prefer it to be paid off in one lump sum and the life insurance company can even pay the funeral home for you for the funeral expenses.

Life insurance is usually paid out from 30 to 40 days after the persons death so you should contact the life insurance company within a day or so of the persons death so they can get the life insurance paid out to you or the funeral home as soon as possible.
