Mice can be pretty smart and avoid mouse traps if they see other mice caught in mouse traps or they've escape a mouse trap then they will likely avoid mouse traps.
In that case you may need to set glue traps out and if you do set mouse traps and catch a mouse get rid of that mouse as soon as possible to avoid other mice seeing the mouse in the mouse trap.
Have some more mouse traps ready to set out after you remove the mouse in the mouse trap from the area as this will prevent other mice seeing the dead mice in the trap and knowing it's unsafe.
