I've gotten rid of keratosis pilaris with some facial cleanser and coconut oil.

First use the facial cleanser in the shower to cleanse and exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells where the keratosis pilaris is.

Then after the shower dry off your skin and then put some coconut oil into the palm of your hands and massage the coconut oil into your skin where the keratosis pilaris is.

Apply the coconut oil to the keratosis pilaris daily after your shower and even before bed and within a week or two the keratosis pilaris should be gone.

It worked for my keratosis pilaris.

You can also buy some over the counter medicated creams for keratosis pilaris that contains urea (Nutraplus, Eucerin), lactic acid (AmLactin, Lac-Hydrin), alpha hydroxy acid or salicylic acid.

Keratosis pilaris is a harmless skin condition which causes dry, rough patches and tiny bumps, often on the upper arms, thighs, cheeks or buttocks.

The bumps with keratosis pilaris usually don't hurt or itch. Keratosis pilaris is often considered a common variant of skin.

Keratosis pilaris can appear as round or oval-shaped waxy or rough bump, typically on the face, chest, a shoulder or the back.

A flat growth or a slightly raised bump with a scaly surface, with a characteristic "pasted on" look.

Varied size, from very small to more than 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) across.

Some actinic keratoses can turn into squamous cell skin cancer.

Because of this, the lesions are often called precancer.

They are not life-threatening.

But if they are found and treated early, they do not have the chance to develop into skin cancer.
