As long as you have an insurable interest in that person you can buy burial insurance for anyone you have an insurable interest in.
Those would be people such as parents, family members, children, spouse and siblings.
For an adult you'd usually have to get that persons permission before buying burial insurance although it might be possible to get burial insurance without their permission through some companies.
