When the Titanic Sank there were 2,224 people aboard the Titanic.

Out of those 2,224 people who were aboard the Titanic only around 710 people survived who were mainly female.

Some people escaped on lifeboats so a few other survivors were not in the water when the rest of them were pulled out of the water.

40 people who jumped from the boat and were in the water and survived were pulled from the water while the rest of the people which was around 710 survivors were in life boats.
