When your vehicles alternator has excessive alternator ripple it means that the alternator is not functioning properly.
Excessive alternator ripple means that there's either Stator damage or one or more of the alternators diodes are bad.
When you have excessive alternator ripple the voltage output to the battery from the alternator is exceeding the normal limits.
You need to get your alternator replaced or rebuilt and having it replaced it usually better than rebuilding the current alternator.
