The life expectancy of someone who has end stage kidney failure depends on whether they go for dialysis treatment or doesn't do dialysis treatment.

If the person who has end stage kidney failure decides to not do dialysis then they may only live a week to a month with the end stage kidney failure.

If the person goes on dialysis then they can expect to live another 10 to 25 years or more depending on the persons current age and health as well.

Some people have been on dialysis treatments for 25 years or more and are leading normal lives even though they have to go in for dialysis treatment every few days.

Having end stage kidney failure doesn't always mean that you're gonna die soon as long as you get on dialysis treatment and don't miss the dialysis treatments you can live a long normal healthy and happy life.

My aunt has been on dialysis for 20 years now and she's doing just fine so yes you can live a long life while on dialysis.

Of course if you're around 60 to 65 when you begin dialysis then you'll live a shorter life because you'd be living out your lifespan but you'd still be living your full lifespan but you're just older.

People who die 5 to 10 years later after being on dialysis are usually 75 to 80 years old or older when they begin dialysis.

The dialysis machine will be your kidneys and do the job your kidneys did so you can live a long life while on dialysis.
