When you reuse something you're essentially recycling that item so in a way it's the same but there is a difference.

When you reuse something you don't have to melt it down or destroy it first to make something new which saves energy and resources.

If you can reuse something that's already made into the item you want to use then that's even better than recycling.

Recycling something is where you send the item off to be either shredded up or if it's metal or plastic shredded and melted down and formed into something new.

If you recycle tin food cans it will then be crushed and then melted down into either new cans or even a car or something else made of metal.
