Pet Insurance will only cover the cost of any conditions or injuries that occur after you purchase the pet insurance policy.
If your pet is already sick or ill then getting Pet Insurance will be hard to do and also it won't cover the existing condition anyway so you'd have to pay out of pocket for any existing conditions that your pet has.
