Winter Nosebleeds typically happen in the winter due to the dry air both outside and inside your house.

The heated air especially in your home and other places is dry especially if you have central heating and then that dry air can dry out your nostrils and cause your noses tiny blood vessels to crack which then leads to nose bleeds.

To prevent wintertime nosebleeds use a humidifier either a standalone humidifier or a humidifier that is added onto your central heating that can help add humidity and moisture to the air inside your home and this will prevent your nostrils from drying out which leads to nosebleeds in the winter.

You can also prevent nose bleeds by using a cotton swab to gently smear a thin layer of petroleum jelly inside your nostrils three times a day, including before you go to sleep.

The petroleum jelly will help keep your nose moist which will prevent your blood vessels inside your nose from cracking so you get less nosebleeds.

Getting Nosebleeds in the wintertime is very common and normal due to the dry air and as long as you keep your nostrils moisturized and add some humidity to the air you can almost always prevent the nosebleeds that happen in winter.
