Yes an outhouse is considered a natural composting toilet since outhouses used no water to flush away waste and used natural things such as lime etc to compose the feces and return it back to the soil which then filtered it again naturally.
Outhouses are actually a great outdoor toilet to use if you want to live off grid because you don't have to empty the waste since the earth will naturally get rid of the waste for you and it's good for the soil as well.
