Does cold weather affect tire pressure?

Can cold weather cause a tire to lose air and cause a drop in the vehicles tire pressure?

Yes temperature changes in the air can affect your vehicles tire pressure and can cause a drop in tire pressure the colder it gets.

It's very normal for tires to lose air pressure and deflate somewhat when the cold weather comes around.

Just be sure to keep a constant check on your vehicles tire pressure to be sure they're properly inflated.

The air pressure in a tire typically goes down 1-2 pounds for every 10 degrees of temperature change.
