It's totally up to the parents whether they want to bank the babies cord blood or not but if your family has a history of cancer then it would be a great idea to bank the babies cord blood if you can afford to do so.

If your child were to get cancer then the Cord Blood can be used to treat the cancer so in my opinion it's worth it to bank the babies cord blood.

It costs from $1,400.00 to $2,300.00 for the initial fee for banking the cord blood then another cheaper yearly fee of $95.00 to $150.00 per year for storage of the cord blood.

That's a cheap price to pay to have a life saving thing such as cord blood stored away in a cord blood bank.
