The amount of four seasons that exist are 4 seasons.

In a year, there are 4 seasons that exist which include spring, summer, autumn, (fall) and winter.

These 4 seasons on earth in a year occur in nearly all parts of the world and follow a yearly cycle that is based on the Earth's tilt and orbit.

Spring is a season that has warmer weather and plant growth and often more sunshine.

Summer is the warmest and hottest season with lots of sunlight and the longest daylight hours.

Autumn or fall is known for cool temperatures and changing leaf colors and is the season that is then transitioning into winter.

And winter is the coldest season, with the coldest days and longer nights with shorter daylight hours and in winter the temperatures can get well below freezing.

In tropical regions like near the Equator, the temperature as well as the daylight hours don't change much, so they may not experience these 4 distinct seasons.

Many U.S. states experience all four distinct seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter), including North Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and states in New England, thanks to Earth's tilt, though the intensity varies by region, with some states like North Carolina even seeing all four in a short span, while warmer states like Georgia and Louisiana have less defined winters.

With the Sunshine State's tropical and subtropical climates, snow is extremely rare in Florida, although Florida does sometimes get snow.

Winters in Florida are often mild, with an average of only 0.01 inches of snow annually.

The Atlantic Coastal city of Jacksonville, Florida, usually has 221 sunny days yearly and no snow.
