To treat a blocked tear duct at home which sometimes works clean the eyelids using a warm, wet washcloth and try gently massaging the area 2 to 3 times a day.
Next using a clean finger, rub the area from the inside corner of the eye toward the nose.
This should help clear the blocked tear duct but sometimes you may need to see a doctor for treatment.
The doctor will install some tubes to allow your eye tears to drain properly and will need to stay in place for three to six months.
