I have 25 more years to pay on my home mortgage loan so I will certainly be staying in this house another 25 years before I may sell and eventually retire to a rural property once I no longer need to work on a job.
Some people move out of there house and into another house after 6 to 8 years and some people stay in the house a bit longer as in 15 to 20 years before moving and some people stay in the same house the rest of their lives.
If it were possible I would already move to a rural wooded place where I could build a nice house in the woods but I need to be close to my job and keep this mortgage until I at least build up enough equity in the house to sell it.
