The organ that is on the right side of your belly button are parts of your small intestine, large intestine also known as your colon and to your lower right your appendix.
The organs that are deeper and higher up on the right side of your belly button are your gallbladder, your liver, and right kidney in the back, which are also in this general area.
And the liver and the gallbladder dominate your upper right quadrant.
In the upper right quadrant is your liver, which is a large organ that sits under your ribs, gallbladder which stores bile produced by the liver, your duodenum which is part of your small intestine, head of pancreas, right kidney and adrenal gland that is located more towards the back and hepatic flexure of the colon which is part of your large intestine.
And in the lower right area or the right lower quadrant is the appendix, which is a small pouch that is attached to the large intestine, the small intestine, ascending colon, which is part of the large intestine and the right ovary and fallopian tubes in females.
The organ that is just below your rib cage is your large liver.
Your large liver is just below your rib cage on the right side.
And your gallbladder is also tucked underneath the large liver below your rib cage on the right side.
The spleen and even part of your stomach are also under your ribs on the left side, and the kidneys and your intestines are also in the general area.
On the right side the liver, which is the biggest solid organ, sits under the right ribs and plays a huge role in digestion and detoxification.
The gallbladder is then located under your liver and stores bile.
Your right kidney is found in the back and just below your liver.
And your intestines and parts of the large and small intestines are also below the ribs here.
On the left side below your rib cage is the spleen, which is a spongy organ that filters blood and is nestled under your left ribs and next to your stomach.
A portion of your stomach is also protected by your lower left ribs.
And the left kidney is located in the back on the left side, and similar to the right kidney.
The organs that are directly under the rib cage vary by which side they are on, although your liver on the right and the spleen on the left are the most prominent organs in the upper abdomen and below the rib cage.
