Paying your car insurance in monthly installments is good if you cannot afford to pay the full cost of the car insurance in full each year.
But if you can afford the full amount for the car insurance each year then you can save some money by paying your car insurance in full each year instead of monthly.
But other than saving some money on the car insurance it doesn't really matter whether you pay the car insurance in full once per year or pay the car insurance in monthly installments.
