Ask how the rent is paid and how much the late fees are gonna be.
Ask how you pay the rent each month and if they're are any late fees that will be assessed if you're late on your rent payment.
Ask the landlord when they'll enter your apartment without notice. Landlords can not really enter your apartment without giving you notice. But they can enter without notice if there's an emergency.
Ask them how much notice they give before entering your apartment and if they do periodic inspections of the apartment.
Ask where you'll park your car.
Some apartments might have you park in front of your apartment and others will have a designated parking spot for your vehicle.
Ask what the policy of having a friend or family stay overnight at your apartment. Some landlords will frown on you having friends or even family staying overnight or for a few weeks and others might be okay with it.
Make sure you find out in advance before getting in trouble.
