The compressors clutch on a vehicles AC compressor can start slipping when excessive oil accumulates in the a/c condenser which then causes an increase in the systems discharge pressures.
That excessive pressure can cause the clutch on the vehicles AC compressor to slip and then cause failure.
It's best to take the vehicle to a qualified vehicle AC technician and have then look at the vehicles AC system and fix it.
