Your doctor may say that Gabapentin is safe to take but in my opinion Gabapentin should never be taken because a friend of mine has been taking Gabapentin for 10 years now and he believes that the Gabapentin is basically killing him because his health has gone downhill after taking Gabapentin.

Some side effects of taking the medicine and painkiller Gabapentin are Dizziness, Tiredness or drowsiness, Loss of coordination, Unusual eye movements, Tremors, Double vision, Blurred vision and Swelling of legs and feet.

If you're not taking Gabapentin already then I would recommend not taking it at all because the side effects and health problems you can get after taking Gabapentin are not worth it and can be worse than the pain you may be experiencing.

However if you're already taking Gabapentin you should speak with your doctor before stopping the dosage of Gabapentin because it could cause more health problems and be more dangerous to your health if you suddenly stop taking it.
