If you've been involuntarily committed to the mental hospital by a court order then that would make it impossible for you to own a gun after being in the mental hospital.

If the courts or other authorities have deemed the person a medical defective then it will prohibit you from owning a gun.

However some states are less lenient on the laws and some people who have been involuntarily committed have been able to obtain guns so the states laws can vary.

I'm not sure it all depends on the laws of your country. I know that almost everyone with a permit can only keep guns in a safe.

Different states have different laws, you need to check with a lawyer probably. But you will need a gun safe in any case. For example, I already bought a safe here https://inkassafes.com/gun-safes/. The materials used in the manufacture of fireproof gun safes play a crucial role in their effectiveness. These safes are often made with layers of thick steel and other fire resistant composites, making them very resistant to fire and heat.
