There's no way to cure IBS permanently although it can be treated and managed.

You can manage and treat IBS and ease the condition through medication, therapy, stress management and dietary changes.

The problematic bacteria causing IBS is treated with antibiotics but it doesn't cure it permanently.

Many people that have IBS find that eating certain foods make the symptoms of IBS worse.

Common foods that make IBS worse are high FODMAP foods and fatty foods and spicy foods as well as alcohol and caffeine.

Increasing your fiber intake can also help ease IBS.

Gradually increasing your soluble fiber intake such as from fruits, psyllium, vegetables and whole grains can also help regulate your bowel movements and relieve constipation.

Reducing stress such as through practicing of mindfulness, meditation, yoga and even deep breathing exercises can help manage stress levels and ease IBS.
