Edibles are not as bad or harmful for your liver as alcohol is.
Although both edibles and alcohol are substances which are both processed by your live, the alcohol produces toxic byproducts which can lead to serious liver damage, especially when consumed in excess.
On the other hand, edibles, when they are used in moderation, don't cause the same level of liver stress.
Alcohol is metabolized by your liver and produces a toxic byproduct called acetaldehyde, which can damage your liver cells and lead to inflammation, scarring, "cirrhosis", and liver failure.
Edibles, mainly contain THC which is also processed by your liver, although the compounds that are produced during the process from edibles is not as damaging to your liver as alcohol's byproducts are.
Although edibles are safer for your liver than alcohol, the edibles still should be consumed in moderation, as excessive or frequent consumption of edibles can strain the liver, especially the edibles that are high in sugar, fat or salt.
