Yes angular cheilitis is caused by the fungus called Candida Albicans and the bacteria sets up in moist areas and you can get rid of and treat angular cheilitis by applying some fungus cream to the affected area.

Also you can apply some apple cider vinegar to the angular cheilitis and using a cotton swab or cotton ball as the apple cider vinegar is antiviral and antibacterial and will kill off the fungus that is causing the angular cheilitis.
