The life expectancy of someone with Miller Syndrome varies between 2 years old to 10 years old to a persons teen years and sometimes older.

The more severe cases of Miller Syndrome the shorter the life expectancy and the less severe form of Miller Syndrome the higher the life expectancy in most cases.

In people with Miller Dieker Syndrome which is a severe form of Miller Syndrome most people don't survive past age 2 although some live to age 10.

People that have milder forms of Miller Syndrome may live into their teen years and sometimes beyond and into adulthood.

Miller Dieker Syndrome is the severe form of Miller Syndrome which is characterized by lissencephaly which is a smooth brain and severe developmental delay as well as distinctive facial features.

Many people with Miller Dieker Syndrome don't live past the age of 2 as a result of complications like seizures, aspiration pneumonia which can occur as a result of weakened throat muscles allowing food to enter the lungs as well as other severe health issues.

The severity of the Miller Syndrome and Lissencephaly and the presence of any other health issues like heart defects or respiratory issues and the effectiveness of any supportive care are also the key factors in what influences the life expectancy of someone with Miller Syndrome.

Most children with Miller Dieker Syndrome do sadly pass away by the age of 2, while some live to age 10.

It's rare for a child to survive longer and into their teen years with Miller Dieker Syndrome.
