Some people just don't like change and some do love the towns they grew up in and the people there.
I'm an example. I haven't lived in the same town all my life but I did move back to my home town recently.
I lived in the same town from the day I was born until I turned 10 years old. Then at 10 we moved to another town 11 miles away and I hated it there and still do to this day but we still have property over there that we use for a salvage storage yard and I go over there occasionally.
We lived in that town until I turned 13 we were moving the same day that the 9/11 attack happened. I was out helping my dad change the oil in the van to get it ready to make the 500 mile road trip to Arkansas where we moved to.
We heard the attack on the radio and my dad told me to run in and tell mom to call my older sister which was in NewYork at the time and luckily she was okay.
Anyway we lived in Arkansas for 7 years until I moved back to the town I hated and lived there for 6 years until I found a house for sale in my hometown and moved back.
It was a run down house that needed and still needs some work but I got it cheap enough.
I plan to stay here the rest of my life and I'm only 29. I moved here almost 3 years ago. It will be 3 years on December 1st 2017 this year.
I'm comfortable here and like the town and people. It's a small town but I love small towns and can't stand to live in big towns or cities.
