Why do most people live in the same town all their life?

Why is it that some people just stay in the same neighborhood or town all there life and never leave and move to another town or State?

I've lived in the same town since I was born and it's driving me crazy and I wish I could get out of here. 

How is it that people can stay in the same town for their whole lives?

Some people are just very comfortable in the home and town they live in.
I've moved before and the grass really isn't greener on the other side. I actually would love to move back to my old hometown but there's no homes for sale in the town I used to live in.
