Hey guys! Weird question, but does anyone else fidget while gaming? I find myself reaching for something between matches or during loading screens. Curious what others use if anything.

My 10 year old son fidgets while gaming and has been doing so ever since is started gaming at 7 years of age.

He also reaches for something between the game and matches and during loading of screens.

You're certainly not alone in the fidgeting as many people who game do so and some people fidget other times as well.

I at first thought maybe he was fidgeting because he needed to pee but turns out he was just fidgeting during gaming and not because it had to pee.

He constantly fidgets and fidgeting I found out can be a good thing when gaming as fidgeting can help you improve your focus and concentration, especially if you have any attention challenges.

Cognitive research has also found that fidgeting is also related to how stimulated you are and fidgeting can be something that your body does to boost or lower your attention levels and calm you down or energize you as well.

Haha, totally not weird—I do that too! Especially during long matchmaking queues or when I’m watching cutscenes. A small, silent clicker or slider is perfect for those moments when your hands need to move but you’re not actively playing. Keeps me relaxed and actually helps me stay sharp when the game starts up again. I got a great one from the online store Kickup. If you’re into that too, you’ll find awesome premium fidget toys https://kickup-edc.com/ that are perfect for gaming downtime.

Absolutely, you're not alone! I definitely fidget while gaming too—especially during loading screens or when waiting in lobbies. I usually keep a stress ball or a fidget cube nearby to keep my hands busy. Sometimes I even mess with a pen or spin my controller around. It helps keep my focus sharp between matches. What do you usually reach for?
