Roomba combo models can safely clean sealed hardwood floors which have a protective sealant such as polyurethane.

The downside to Roombas include possible floor damage, the cost, the maintenance, limited versatility, navigational challenges, needing frequent emptying noisy, having a short battery life, inefficient cleaning and limited suction power.

When the Roomba dustbin is full the Roomba is designed to automatically stop and pause.

When your Roomba keeps cleaning the same area it's often a result of a something obstructing it's path or a poorly mapped out room.

It's also recommended to clean the Roomba brushes once a week or twice a week if you have pets.

The Roomba does really learn the floor plan as it has cameras and sensors to map out and detect objects and the floor.

The Roomba uses a predetermined algorithm to gather the necessary information about the home's shape and layout and uses machine vision to identify any furniture like kitchen counters, tables and couches and chairs.

Roomba also creates a 3D scan of the home and you can even customize the map by creating zones and rooms and you can also name the rooms to identify them in the app.

The Roomba can also remember up to 10 different floor plans and you can also use voice commands to to the Roomba to clean specific rooms and even use the app to view the map, create new maps and edit existing maps.

And the Roomba can also adapt to any changing home environments.

Some Roombas have cameras on them which help the Roomba navigate and avoid obstacles.

Some Roombas also have a remote check in feature that allows you to see and view the camera feed through the iRobot app.

The upward facing camera on a Roomba helps the Roomba to identify landmarks such as lamps and sofas.

And the downward facing sensor helps the Roomba map out the floor

The Roomba cameras are not accessible by other people and on some models they are not accessible at all so nobody can spy on you through the Roomba camera.

The average life expectancy of a Roomba vacuum is 4 to 7 years and the battery of the Roomba tends to last 2 to 3 years.

The lifespan of the Roomba will depend on factors such as how often it's used, the quality of it's parts and what kind of debris it picks up.

A fully charged Roomba can clean for up to 2 hours on the lowest setting.

You should clean the Roomba brushes once a week or twice a week if you have pets and clean the charging contacts once a month and clean the cliff sensors once a month as well.
