Do scabs fall off on their own?

Scabs form over wounds to protect the wound from infection and when the would has fully healed the scab will eventually fall off on it's own.

It's best to avoid picking at the scab no matter how tempting it is since the scab needs to stay on the wound until it's fully healed.

After a week or two the scab should fall off and that means the wound has fully healed.
