You cannot get trichinosis from cooked bacon as long as the bacon was cooked properly.

If the bacon is not cooked properly or is undercooked then you could get trichinosis from the undercooked bacon.

However the bacon or pork has to also be infected with the Trichinella parasites and you can only get trichinosis from bacon or pork that is infected with the Trichinella parasites.

As long as you cook the bacon all the way and don't eat raw or undercooked bacon you will be safe from trichinosis.

Proper cooking of the bacon and pork meats kills and destroys the trichinosis parasites and renders the meat safe to eat.

The risk of trichinosis in commercially produced bacon and pork meats is very low due to improved farming practices.

Trichinellosis is a rare disease in the United States and the risk of getting it is low.

The symptoms of trichinellosis can also be mistaken for the flu symptoms as well.

As long as the meats are cooked properly to a safe temperature it prevents the trichinellosis and trichnosis infections.
