Water pipes have been found in ancient history and are dated to as far back as 4,000 B.C. where copper pipes were found in use.
At one time though water pipes and drain pipes were made of wood for cities and towns and indoor plumbing was available to some people as early as 1800's but it wasn't until the 1930's before indoor plumbing became widespread and used in more places.
