The part of the brain that is taste is the gustatory cortex.

The gustatory cortex is made up of two parts in the cerebral cortex, the large outer part of your brain and is responsible for processing taste.

The two parts that the gustatory cortex are made up of are the frontal operculum and the anterior insula.

The frontal operculum is located in your frontal lobe.

And the anterior insula is located in the insular lobe.

The terminal connection that serves taste perception is located in your anterior insula in your temporal lobe and your frontal opercular region.

The parietal part of the brain focus causes gustatory hallucination only in contrast to the temporal focus generally inducing both olfactory and gustatory hallucinations.

And so the parietal lobe is, therefore, considered to be a taste-specific area.

The parts of the brain that are necessary for planning, coordinating, and executing the motor output required for cooking are the primary motor cortex (for movement) and the prefrontal cortex (for planning and coordination).

The tongue is how we taste and the taste buds and our tongue are connected to the brain which allows us to taste.

Although the human soft palate contains taste buds, the main organ of taste is classically considered the tongue and the primary structure that house the sensory endings are the papillae.
