It is safe to book a flight with Hotwire as Hotwire is a legit company.

I've booked flights with Hotwire and got some great deals and haven't had issues with them.

You can also book hotel rooms with Hotwire as well which makes it even better.

Hotwire is a trustworthy site and a legitimate company for booking travel and flights.

Hotwire does give refunds for certain bookings and offers but not all offers and bookings will result in a refund.

Hotwire is headquartered in San Francisco California and they are an operating company of the Expedia Group that also operates teh websites, Egencia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotels.com, Expedia and ClassicVacations.

Hotwire is owned and operated by Expedia and Expedia Group.

Expedia Group also operates and owns Egencia, Travelocity, Orbitz, ClassicVacations and Hotels.com

Travelocity did buy Expedia and Expedia is owned by Travelocity.

Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity are the same companies owned by the same company.

I’ve booked a few flights with Hotwire and honestly, I've had a good experience overall. A couple of years ago, I found a great last-minute deal for a trip to El Paso, which was pretty affordable considering how close I was to departure. Everything went smoothly, and I didn't run into any issues. That said, I did some research and found that user sentiment is 95 positive, so that definitely gave me confidence. I’ve heard some mixed opinions about refunds, though – like you mentioned, not every deal qualifies for one. So, just something to keep in mind. Other than that, I’ve also used it for hotel bookings, and it worked out fine.
