Unlike most regular credit cards travel rewards credit cards give you points which is usually one point for every dollar you spend using that credit card.

Sometimes you can earn even more points by shopping at specific stores or when dining at specific restaurants and then you can use those points to get airline tickets to fly and travel around the world.
