Can a chiropractor call himself a doctor?

Chiropractors do no hold any medical degrees and cannot practice medicine or prescribe medication.

Chiropractors can however refer you to another doctor to see if you need a prescription for some medicine.

So it would not be a good idea for a Chiropractor to call himself a doctor since technically he's not a doctor and just some body adjustments.
