Alka-Seltzer is safe for kidneys as long as you don't take the Alka-Seltzer more than 3 days in a row and as long as your kidneys are already healthy.

However if you have kidney problems or kidney disease then Alka-Seltzer should be avoided as it can be harmful to your kidneys due to the sodium and also the Salicylates.

Alka-Seltzer can also affect your electrolytes which can impair kidney function so if you have kidney issues or renal failure or kidney failure you should not take Alka-Seltzer as it can make the kidney problems worse.

You should not take Alka-Seltzer more than 3 days in a row or if you have any other health issues including bleeding problems, breathing problems, asthma, emphysema or diabetes, heart problems, glaucoma, high blood pressure, kidney problems, seizures, liver disease, stomach and intestinal issues like constipation or blockage.
