The time that UPS delivers if it says by 7 pm is often before 7 pm which can be as early as 8:00 AM to as late as 3:00 PM depending on how far out you are on the UPS drivers delivery route.

UPS can even deliver as late as 7 pm or later depending on how busy the UPS driver is and how many packages they have and how far you are away from them on their route.

UPS end of day means that your package is on the UPS delivery vehicle and is expected to be delivered on that date by the end of the day which is often 7:00 PM.

That is if the package says out for delivery or on vehicle for delivery by end of day you should expect the package sometime that day before the day ends.

Most UPS packages are delivered well before 7:00 PM although sometimes UPS will deliver as late as 10:00 PM or so if they have a lot of packages.

I get most of my UPS packages around 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM but it can vary.

Saturday does not count as a business day for UPS.

However UPS does often deliver packages to residential addresses on Saturday and business addresses on Saturday if they are open.

UPS offers Monday through Saturday delivery service for both residential and commercial packages and offers delivery of residential packages on Sunday if requested and for an additional fee.

If you need a Sunday delivery through UPS, there will usually be an additional fee depending on the service level chosen, with most premium services like UPS Express Critical incurring a surcharge for Sunday delivery; check your specific shipping options to see the exact cost for your package.

UPS will leave a package by your door or at your place without a signature if it doesn't require a signature.

UPS requires a signature for packages that contain adult items or high value items such as computers, Jewelry etc if the sender of the package requests a signature.

UPS itself is not the one that requires the signature on certain packages but the sender of the package requests a signature required if the product is an adult only product or is a high value item to ensure the correct person gets the package.

UPS does leave your packages at your door unless the package requires a signature.

The majority of packages that UPS delivers do not require a signature and can be left at your door on your porch or somewhere else safe.

If the UPS package does not require a signature the UPS driver will bring the package to your door and leave it near your door or behind something on your porch.

I've had UPS packages left behind a chair I had on my porch where the UPS driver used the chair to hide the package behind it.

That was a good idea to me as it prevents someone from seeing the package and stealing it.

If there's nothing to hide it behind the UPS driver will simply leave the package in front of your door or near your door.

If the UPS driver needs you to sign for the package they will knock on the door or ring the doorbell if you have one and if you don't respond they will leave a note and door tag stating that they were at your house and need a signature and will be back.

You can often sign the door tag with your signature and UPS will sometimes leave the package but if it requires an adult signature the UPS driver will want you to sign their device in front of them.
