Diastasis recti is a condition that occurs when your abdominal muscles stretch out and separate and allows the intestines to push through and form a bulge.

Diastasis recti can be caused by weightlifting, obesity, pregnancy and several other things.

Bloating and food intolerances can also cause your upper abs to bulge out.
