At 3 years old he shouldn't need as many diapers as he needed when he was an infant or a year old.
3 year old's usually save up there urine and let it all out at a certain time.
I'd send at least 4 diapers per day but he should only need 3 at the minimum depending on how long your 3 year old in diapers is at daycare.
