Using expired Listerine is not bad and won't harm you or your health.

However when Listerine and other mouthwash expires it becomes less effective at killing germs and bacteria in the mouth.

The expired Listerine and other expired mouthwash will still be somewhat effective and it's better than not using any mouthwash at all.

Listerine and other mouthwash is best used before expiration date but you don't have to throw it out just because it's expired.

I've used expired Listerine and other mouthwash before and it's never harmed me.

Using expired mouthwash is not recommended by dentists and other health professionals because expired mouthwash may contain bacteria and rancid ingredients, making it unsafe for use.

And it's not as effective at cleaning your teeth, gums, and mouth and preventing tooth decay.

So while it's best to use fresh and non expired mouthwash it will not harm you.

As long as it's just you that is using the mouthwash and not others that share it with you then the expired mouthwash should be just fine.
